This bookshelf is about four feet tall - it's half of a unit I got at IKEA. There are six books on top:
All are Taschen books

Of
course, the bookshelf has a flat top, so there's a rotating selection of stuff
that accumulates here; right now there's an egg cam, one of the best video devices
I've ever had connected to a computer. It requires RCA connections to a real
video capture card (one that works like a TV tuner), so I can't use it with
my OS X computer at this point. I'm hoping to hook it up to the Silicon Graphics
O2 workstation that's floating around, but I'll have to re-install
IRIX before it'll do anything.
